Objectives and activities
Our Charity is focussed on delivering cycling related initiatives, events and sessions that encourage individuals and groups to get out on bikes and look after their mental health. One of our core functions is to increase the number of people who cycle in our area while encouraging them to be environmentally friendly and reduce our carbon footprint through active travel. We aim to support our local economy by delivering high quality cycling events that attract people from all over the UK and further, that are inclusive and accessible to the vast majority

Events : CX @Kirroughtyree 2024 – 10@Kirroughtee 2024 – Kirroughtree Duathlon 2024 - British round of CrossCountry MTB Kirroughtree – monthly ‘open to all’ BMX sessions
Financial review
Statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
Galloway Hillbillies Bike Club maintains financial reserves to ensure the ongoing stability and sustainability of the club. These reserves provide a safeguard against unexpected costs, fluctuations in income, and support the planning and delivery of future activities and events. The club aims to maintain a reserve equivalent to approximately 6 monthsof average operating costs.
Reserves may be used for:

Emergency or unforeseen expenditure

Covering temporary cash flow shortfalls

One-off strategic investments that benefit the club

Ensuring continuity of key club activities

Any use of reserves must be approved by the club committee and properly recorded.
Future plans
The club aims to continue to deliver the same high quality events and fun activities it has become known for through 2025 and into the future.
