Recruitment and appointment of Committee

All of the associations committee are appointed or reappointed by members at our AGM

Governing Document

The Association is a charitable incorporated association and the purpose and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution.

Our purposes are the running and maintenance of the McBoyle Hall for community use and to decorate the village with floral displays and maintain these,

Activities and Achievements

During the year we have continued to operate the McBoyle Hall for general community use. We managed to secure funds for a projector, halfof the costs were a grant from Baxters Foods Ltd., and half from Awards for All for which we are very grateful. Also thanks to Tracey Rae from Moray Council who was a great help in securing the grants. We are still fundraising, and have had a Coffee morning, and also a Strawberry Tea, with a Soup & Sweet planned for later in the year. We held our first ‘Breakfast with Santa which proved very popular and was well attended by the children and parents of Portknockie, and further afield, so we will also have another one this year, at the end of November. We prepared the Millenium Garden and Memorial ready Remembrance Day. We also decorated the millennium garden with Christmas lights and decorated the hall with Christmas decorations, The tubs around the village have been planted up, and the hanging baskets were prepared by a local garden centre and are looking very good. Unfortunately, we have lost two regular group hirers ofthe hall but have got a new one, hopefully we will be able to attract new people in the future, We are very grateful to the following for their generous donations SE otk nockic Chemis he Rotary Club, Portknockie

Fish & Chip shop, and Scotts Homes.

The monies raised throughout the year will be used to continue with the upkeep of the hall, and we will also continue to care for the floral arrangements and flowerbeds throughout the village

Reserves At the end of the year we have a balance of £19648
