The charity is set up to acquire St Columba's church, repair and transform it into the Solas Eige Centre. To this end, we have aplied for funding from the Scottish Land Fund and the Architectural Heritage Fund to carry out all necessary conservation report, feasibility studies, including completign a business plan, all of which have informed our preparations for a Stage 2 Scottish Land Fund application.

Objectives: The Organisation’s main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation’s Purposes are: 5.1 To promote and facilitate the social and cultural development of the isle of Eigg community, using the St Columba Church of Scotland Church and land on Eigg. 5.2 To promote the continual use of the church building for worship, weddings and funerals. 5.3 To promote the cultural and natural heritage of the Isle of Eigg. 5.4 To promote advancement of the arts on the isle of Eigg. 5.5 To promote understanding of climate change.
