Comunn Eachdraidh Eige runs and manages the Cleadale Museum of Crofting life, and looks after its comprehensive photographic archive., showing a selection of it to Eigg visitors on a regular basis. It is also active in the understanding and preservation of the isle of Eigg built heritage and organises yearly exhibitions in St Columba's church on themes pertinent to the isle of Eigg history.

Objectives: The Society is established for charitable purposes only and in particular to promote the advancement of education by the study of the local history, heritage and culture of the island of Eigg.
