Stirling4Community is set up to encourage growth of community and to reduce loneliness and isolation particularly in older people, and to encourage positive mental health. We do this by running multiple community groups to help people meet others in a friendly environment whilst often undertaking an activity or entertainment.

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 the advancement of citizenship or community development and 4.2 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities The organisation will advance these purposes by: Addressing the challenges of loneliness and isolation in the community by the creation of social engagement opportunities in a safe and welcoming space, and by keeping in regular contact with our community members by telephone, email and post (only where they have agreed to allow us to do so) Nurturing community and building a sense of belonging for community residents by keeping in touch regularly with all who connect with us. We will also achieve this by engaging with the wider community through promotion of our services in the local newspapers and working on collaboration projects with other local charities also working in the community. Developing friendship and fellowship in the community by creation of opportunities for everyone to meet together and take part in group activities such as choir, art, knitting, gardening, and cooking that they enjoy in a welcoming friendly space. We will also provide quarterly in person get togethers both outdoors and indoors for special occasions such as Easter, Christmas Promoting wellbeing by the provision of therapeutic support groups such as art, craft, singing and knitting for mental wellbeing, gardening for physical and mental wellbeing, lunch groups for physical wellbeing with provision of nutritious lunches and cooking groups for those who wish to learn to cook simple nutritious meals. We will work alongside with other charitable groups working in the community to promote shared objectives.
