Inherit the role and objectives of the existing unincorporated charity
Objectives: 3. The purposes shall be to advance community development, health and education, preserve the local environment and heritage and provide recreational facilities and activities to improve the condition of life for the residents of the village of Hopeman (the ?Community?). It will do this by: a) promoting and enhancing the general wellbeing of the Community b) associating voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort and providing meeting places and facilities to further health and welfare, advance education, promote physical and mental training and recreation, support social, moral and intellectual development and encourage other worthy charitable causes within the Community c) managing and maintaining the Hopeman Memorial Hall for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Hopeman in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the Feu Charter of 1925 by the Tutors of Lt-Col T R Gordon-Duff d) exercising overall responsibility for the area of ground adjacent to the east beach known as the Playing Field and its use as a recreation park in accordance with the terms set out in the Deed of Gift of 1935 by Lt-Col T R Gordon-Duff, and in compliance with the Management Agreement of 2011 with Moray Council e) exercising overall responsibility for the area of ground on the south side of Forsyth Street and its use for recreational purposes in accordance with the terms set out in the Feu Charter of 1948 by Lt-Col T R Gordon-Duff, and managing the associated Lease Agreement of 1986 with the Hopeman Bowling Club f) preserving the heritage of the village of Hopeman g) providing a means whereby matters affecting the Community at large can be addressed and managed in an integrated manner
