Objectives: 2 The objects of The Association shall be:- (a) to promote the wellbeing of the community resident in the village of Hopeman (hereinafter referred to as 'the neighbourhood') without distinction of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity disability, race, or of, religion or belief political or other opinions, by associating voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to further health and welfare, to advance education, to provide meeting places and facilities for physical and mental training and recreation, and social, moral and intellectual development. and to foster a community spirit for the achievement of those and other such objects as may be, by law, deemed to be charitable. (b) to safeguard the welfare of children in its care or the care of those associated with the Association and to work together with the community to protect children for harm, abuse or exploitation and recognise the difference and diversity present in children and respect their rights. (c) to be responsible for the maintenance and management of Hopeman Memorial Hall which was erected by the people of Hopeman in grateful and affectionate remembrance of the soldiers and sailors of the district who fell in the war of1918,and with the objects of using the said Memorial Hall to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Hopeman without distinction of sex or race or of political, religious or other opinions by providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation in order to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (d) to exercise overall responsibility in conjunction with the Trustees for that area of ground on the Southside of Forsyth Street, Hopeman, described in theFeu Charter by Lt-Col, TR Gordon Duff in favour of Trustees for the Hopeman Amenities Association, and at present held by Trustees on behalf of the Hopeman Community Association, and leased
