The chairty was set up in March 2020 as a fund which could support individuals and families in the event of an emergency and crisis. Initially the fund supported those suffering financial hardship because of Covid 19 by providing grants where there was no recourse to other funds. A simple online application form was devised and each application had to be supported by an independent referrer who knew the family/individual's circumstances. The fund continued to operate until 30th September 2021 when the Covid 19 Grant scheme was closed as an emergency. No other awards have been made since then, but the charity will remain in existence to deal with any future emergency needs in Moray, as decided by the Trustees.
