The Trust preserves Scottish motoring history. It maintains a presence in the historic Argyll Motorworks building, which is situated in Alexandria. it has information panels, and display Scottish built cars in that building. An original Argyll car is displayed at Argyll Auto Accessories in the original showroom basement. It preserves a motoring photo archive. It makes information available to the public.

Objectives: 4 The purposes of the Trust are the advancement of the education of the public in relation to the history and culture of motor vehicle and transport generally and to Scottish motor vehicles and transport in particular, by associating voluntary organisations, local authorities and other bodies of whatever status, together with the public in the Scotland in a common effort to preserve the vehicles, memorabilia and literature relating to such history.
