Activities

'It makes grants, donations, loans, gifts or pensions to individuals'

'the advancement of education','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

The foundation’s vision is for every young person, regardless of their background or circumstances, to have access to support, training and work opportunities in order to pursue their career and reach their full potential. We primarily offer financial assistance to allow access to training, development and workplace placements designed to enable and empower young people at this critical stage in their lives. We also work with schools and employers to help increase awareness around youth ‘employability’ and find new ways to facilitate this. We have recently formed a partnership with DYW Tayside and Fife to help the above processes, this allows teachers and staff working with young people to identify needs and apply to a locally managed fund to request financial support. We hope that this partnership will allow us to identify areas we can focus on, identify potential partners and develop these partnerships

Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people'

Objectives: To support young people who are coming to the end of their high school education, principally but not exclusively in Fife, who are at risk of experiencing difficulty in accessing employment opportunities. To provide practical and financial support to young people, as defined above, during the transition from secondary education into apprenticeships, further education and employment. To remove barriers to securing positive destinations, training opportunities and employment outcomes and providing opportunity to empower young individuals. To enable and encourage young people to reach their full potential, irrespective of barriers placed in their paths. To raise and maintain awareness of the issues around youth employability in the region and encourage participation of schools and employers in addressing these issues.
