Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'

The charity was set up to promote the local built and cultural heritage. The organisation neither owns nor is responsible for any built heritage in the area. Instead, it arranges regular Storylands Sessions where locals entertain with songs, music and stories. There is also a week long heritage festival in September with talks and trips to view aspects of the local natural heritage. We also arrange winter talks which have been over Zoom (as evening winter travel in this locality is not always possible). We also support and organise publications of local books which we can then sell, and this generates income for the organisation, on top of modest profits from the Storylands Sessions.
