Objectives: 1 The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund for charitable purposes (as defined in section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005) exclusively, which benefit the public in the UK and elsewhere. Without prejudice to the forgoing generality, the Trustees may at their sole discretion apply the Trust Fund exclusively for any one or more of the following charitable purposes: 1.1 the prevention or relief of poverty by primarily, though not exclusively, supporting, encouraging and providing financial assistance to organisations that intend to prevent or provide relief from poverty in disadvantaged children and young adults. 1.2 the advancement of education by primarily, though not exclusively, supporting, encouraging and providing financial assistance to organisations that facilitate the advancement of education of disadvantaged children and young adults. 1.3 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, with priority given to donating to facilities or activities benefitting disadvantaged children or young adults. 1.4 the advancement of public participation in sport by primarily, though not exclusively, supporting, encouraging and providing financial assistance to organisations that facilitate public participation in sport to disadvantaged children and young adults. and 1.5 to provide financial assistance to bodies who are recognised as charities in Scotland, England or Wales, whose purposes are targeted at those described at 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 above.
