The Haven ha5 now passed the balon lo SAMH (Scollish Aclion for Mental Health) who are developing their first drop-in centre called 'A Place for Everyone, in Glasgow. We have pledged lo support this projecl. Flnanclal Revlèw There has b8en a keen focus on fundralslng durlng the summer of 2024 wllh Chartle and Edward Macquaker's Summer of Sport Challenge. They plolled a 600km cyding route from Edinburgh to Argyll and Mull in June 2024 to rais8 funds and awareness ol the charity. They had a team send-off on 1 sl June accompanied by supporters along the way over the first two days of the trip. At each overnight stop, they completed origami cranes and left them on lable5 in pubs and restaurants help start a conversation. In August, Edward and Annabelle Parbrook completed the North Downs 50km Trail Run. £8.815.22 online donations were received through JuslGiving. A niimher of other supporters have raised funds for the Gharily. London Landmarks Half Marathon, £1,355.0 Hall Marathon. £2,000 Lake District Ultra Run. £1.101.98 Great Scottish Run, £1,603.00 Resetves Policy As at the period end the total resetves held by the Foundation amounted lo £165,659 12023.. £108,140). It is the policy ol the Trustees to distribute the income of the Trust in the form of grants or donations. The funds of the Trust are wholly unreslricled. The Trustees will hold investments plus cash deposils. The Trustees have power lo draw upon the funds in furtherance of the Trust's ot4'ectives whilst retaining sufficient funds to meet any commitments they may undertake. As the ass8ts of the Trust will be held in a readily reallsable form the Trustees do not therefore conslder It necessary lo maintain specific reserves. Structure, Governance and Management The Foundallon is an unincorporatèd 8ssoc18tion whlch is governed by a Dead ol Trust dated 8 July 2019. This was recorded in the Books of Council and Sesslon on 8 July 2019. The initial TTUStees were those appointed by the Deed of Trust. There shall be a minimum of three Trustees and no maximum number of Trustees. New Trust¢es are appc>inted by a simple majority of existing TTUStees. During Ihe period no further Trustees were recruited or appointed. Turcan Connell provides ongoing advice lo the Trustees, and they are responslble lor the day to day management of the Trust. Risk Management The trustees have reviewed and assessed the major rlsks lo which the Foundation is exposed, in particular those related lo the operations and finances of the Foundation. As some of the Trust Funds are going lo be held in an investment portfolio, a factor likely lo affect the financial posillon and performance of the Foundation in the future is change5 to the market in the current investment environment. The adults light flame torches and procession commence5 around the cammunit ardens towards the bonfire in the field to the sound of the pipes followed by a short speech by nd hol pizzas afterwards. Thls continues to be a very special event greatly appreciated by families, trustees and bereavement staff al Richmond's Hope. has kept in touch withand the Resilience Rucksack project Tun by Reading University. Pre-teen chlldren were provided with a backpack fllled with items co- designed by the ¢hlldren lo bulld mental wellbelng and reslllan¢e, Includlng a ¢omlc book, a pop song IwhSch they can listen to via a QR code), playing cards. journal, pedometer and more. These items aTe all focused on promoting four key themes of wellbeing.. healthy sleep, physical activity, self-compas5ion and friendships. The project is backed by scientific evidence and results have been reported by the university. The Jasmine Foundation supplied over 2000 origami sheets lo be used as a resource al the fair. These have been very popular amongst the children.
