In December 2024 there were encouraging discussions around piloting some of the lessons in the programme with
Trinity Academy.

¢x>mmunilies. The Haven ha5 now passed the balon lo SAMH (Scollish Aclion for Mental Health) who are
developing their first drop-in centre called 'A Place for Everyone, in Glasgow. We have pledged lo support this
projecl.
Flnanclal Revlèw
There has b8en a keen focus on fundralslng durlng the summer of 2024 wllh Chartle and Edward Macquaker's
Summer of Sport Challenge. They plolled a 600km cyding route from Edinburgh to Argyll and Mull in June 2024 to
rais8 funds and awareness ol the charity. They had a team send-off on 1 sl June accompanied by supporters along
the way over the first two days of the trip. At each overnight stop, they completed origami cranes and left them on
lable5 in pubs and restaurants help start a conversation. In August, Edward and Annabelle Parbrook completed the
North Downs 50km Trail Run. £8.815.22 online donations were received through JuslGiving.
A niimher of other supporters have raised funds for the Gharily.

Resetves Policy
As at the period end the total resetves held by the Foundation amounted lo £165,659 12023.. £108,140). It is the
policy ol the Trustees to distribute the income of the Trust in the form of grants or donations. The funds of the Trust
are wholly unreslricled. The Trustees will hold investments plus cash deposils. The Trustees have power lo draw
upon the funds in furtherance of the Trust's ot4'ectives whilst retaining sufficient funds to meet any commitments they
may undertake.
As the ass8ts of the Trust will be held in a readily reallsable form the Trustees do not therefore conslder It necessary
lo maintain specific reserves.
Structure, Governance and Management
The Foundallon is an unincorporatèd 8ssoc18tion whlch is governed by a Dead ol Trust dated 8 July 2019. This was
recorded in the Books of Council and Sesslon on 8 July 2019. The initial TTUStees were those appointed by the Deed
of Trust. There shall be a minimum of three Trustees and no maximum number of Trustees. New Trust¢es are
appc>inted by a simple majority of existing TTUStees. During Ihe period no further Trustees were recruited or appointed.
Turcan Connell provides ongoing advice lo the Trustees, and they are responslble lor the day to day management
of the Trust.
Risk Management
The trustees have reviewed and assessed the major rlsks lo which the Foundation is exposed, in particular those
related lo the operations and finances of the Foundation.
The Tiuslees are salisfied thal systems are In place lo mllSgale Ihelr exposuro lo the key rfsks.
As some of the Trust Funds are going lo be held in an investment portfolio, a factor likely lo affect the financial
posillon and performance of the Foundation in the future is change5 to the market in the current investment
environment.
Future Plan5
The Foundation's plan is lo bulld up Its acllvllle5 gradually and develop the service5 that they are able lo provlde by
rirsl developing ils own knowledge and expertise of issues related lo mental health awareness. The Trustees are
aware of a number of the services already available in the sector, and they wish lo support those services, while
onsidering the possibilily of ¢realing their own 5ervi¢es which will help those that are Gurrenlly not being supporied.

Oblectlves and actlvltles
The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of rt to pay and apply the sarne to or for the benefit of or In
furtherance of the advancement of mental health and wellbeing by Working Sn collabor21ion with mental health and
arts-based charities and organisations. The purposes of the Foundation are lo raise mentsl health awareness and
underslandlng, particularly for children 8nd young people and lo seek to prevent those suffering from a mentgl illne3$
taking their own Ilfe by suiclde. The Foundation plans lo help, encourage and eduGal8 chlldren and young people lo
allow them lo develop into happy. confident and resillenl individuals. The Foundation will also provide support lo
families affected by mental Illness and related suicide while supporting artistic initiatives that foster wellbeing, mental
health and Slticide prevonllon education and better communication around mental health and sulclde and lo promote
such other slmllai Cha￿￿￿10 purposes or charitable Inslllullons In such proportlons and the manners as the Trustees
shall think 151.
In order lo achieve their charitable purpose$, the Foundati￿ wll organise events for young people where they will
be able lo discuss and promote mental health awareness. The Foundation will also provlde grants to organlsations
working in this sector and in the future the TTuslees may Commission mental health research as part of an awareness
programme.
Achlevements and performance
The Jasmine Foundation sponsored another Night lo Remsmber for Richmond's Hope, helping beieaved families,
especially children remember Iheir loved ones who died. Durin9 Ihe event families gather lor hot chocolate around
the tree of remembrance in the gardens of Duddingston Kirk lil by festoon lights. The adults light flame torches and

can listen to via a QR code), playing cards. journal, pedometer and more. These items aTe all focused on promoting
four key themes of wellbeing.. healthy sleep, physical activity, self-compas5ion and friendships. The project is
backed by scientific evidence and results have been reported by the university. The Jasmine Foundation supplied
over 2000 origami sheets lo be used as a resource al the fair. These have been very popular amongst the children.

The financlal slalemenls have been prepared on a golng concern basls. The Trustees have assessed the
Charbty's ability lo continue as a going concern and have reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate
resources lo conllnue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, Ihey continue lo adopt the golng
concèrn basis ol accounting in preparing financial stalemenls.
Income recognltlon
All income is included in the stslement of financial acb'vities when entltlemenl has passed lo the Charlty, 11 is
probabl8 that Ihe r4conomic benefits associated with the Iransactlon will ftow lo the Charity and thg amount can
be rellably measured.
Resources expended
Liabilities are recognised as resources oxpended a5 soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation commilling
the Foundation to that expendilure,11 is probable that settlementwill be required, and the amount of the obligation
can be measured reliably. All expenditure Is accounted for on an accruals basls and all expenses are allocated
to the applicable expenditure headings. Irrecoverable VAT is charged to the Statement of Financial Activi118s as
incurred.
Governance costs are included within chaTltable activities and include the costs of general governance of the
Charily as opposed to direct management inherent in meeting charitable objectives and are those costs
assoclated with strategic, ¢onstilulional. and slalulory r8quirements.

Other financial instruments. including inveslmenls, are inllially recognised as fair value. Other flnancbal
instruments are subsequenly measured al fair value, with any changes recognised through the Statement of
Finanolal Actlwtles.
At each reportlng datè the Foundation assesses whethar there is oblecb've evidence that any linanclal asset has
been Impalred. A provlslon lor Impalrment 15 established when there Is oble¢live evidsnce that the Trust will not
be able lo collect all amounts due. The amount of the provision is recognised immediately in profil or loss.
