Oyne Victoria Hall SCIO Truslees, Annual Report and Accounts for Year Ended 31" March 2025 Scottish Charity Number.. SC049220 AGtlvltles and achievement We have had another profitable year with the hall continuing to have regular bookings during the day and more especially the evenings during the week. The school has continued to use our hall for sports. Yoga. jazzercise. pilates and pottery occur regularly during the week. Monday drop-in social sessions, serding tea and coffee and providing homebakes, have run over the winter months subsidized by the hall. The reel club continues to meet monthly in the hall. A music group meets to practi here on Sunday evenings. In March the Oyne Communty Association (OCA) held another very successful quiz night in the hall raising £900 for the community. The hall floor has been revarnished this year. The hall committee has been planning for the possibility that the council may withdraw funding from the hall, although this has never been expressed by the council. It was decided that the committee should submit an expression of interest (EIO) to the council to prevent any sudden decision to change the current arrangement without our knowledge. This was submitted with help and guidance from officers at Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS). The EOI was accepted on March 28th 2025. The acknowledgement of acceptance allows the committee to apply for funding from DTAS towards a comprehensive survey of the building and help with creating a business plan. We are keen to be guided by the community regarding future planning especially given the possibility that a community Spa might be provided at Archeolink in the future. We are currently waiting for the results of an OCA survey that is being carried out in June 2025 before making any future plans. Trustee remunèratlon and expenses The trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses during the year. Reserves The committee held unrestricted funds of £36,660.46 at the year end. The hourly rate for the hire of the Hall increased to £10.00 per hour for nonprofit making users of the parish of Oyne and £15.00 per hour for profit making activities. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent Examinerfs Statement In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention 1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: a) to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or 2) to which. in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
