The organisation's purpose is the saving of lives. In furtherance of this purpose, the organisation will: 4.1. Provide prompt and appropriate medical care for persons in distress, or suffering life threatening conditions 4.2. Provide CPR and AED assistance when required 4.3. Train members of the public in CPR, (in line with the Scottish Government out of hospital Cardiac Arrest Strategy), thus helping to increase the chances of someone surviving an out of hospital cardiac arrest 4.4. Promote Public Access Defibrillators in local communities 4.5. Medical Transport, emergency and non-emergency. 4.6. Promote community resilience 4.7. Provide preplanned community resilience in times of emergency.
