OutPost Arts promotes creative health, education and regeneration - connecting people facing barriers across Dumfries & Galloway to meaningful creative experiences that improve wellbeing, resilience and life prospects. Our work targets vulnerable people experiencing mental and physical health conditions, disabilities, neurodivergence, trauma, poverty, caring responsibilities, and social/geographic isolation. We are driven by the belief that everyone should have equal access to creativity as a route to improved health, confidence, and connection. Our flagship initiative, DG Creative Wellbeing (DGCW) has been developed in partnership with health, social care, education, local authority and community organisations to ensure our services are embedded where need is greatest. Since 2023, over 1,500 people have participated in our programmes, and 65% of our community participants live with significant economic strain.

Objectives: 3 The organisation's purposes are: 3.1.1 We aim to advance the education and learning amongst the public in the understanding and appreciation of the arts. 3.1.2 We aim to advance the health and wellbeing of people through participation in creative arts practices. 3.1.3 We aim to advance citizenship through using the arts and creativity, contributing to the regeneration of Dumfries & Galloway.
