The museum will help: 1. Individuals, groups and schoolchildren to better understand World War Two, the Dunkirk Evacuation, the D-Day Landings, and the key role that Admiral Ramsay played in leading both key operations. 2. The people of Berwickshire and the Scottish Borders to feel proud of one of their local heroes, Admiral Ramsay. 3. Local businesses will benefit from the museum attracting additional visitors to the area, supporting local businesses in Leitholm, Swinton and other neighbouring communities. 4. Military organisations to be better appreciated by the civilian population.

Objectives: 1.1 To research, present and interpret the life and career of Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay 1.2 To provide educational facilities and activities related to the life and career of Admiral Ramsay, the First and Second World War, their people, history, heritage and culture, past and present. 1.3 To provide support for people undertaking research into the life and career of Admiral Ramsay, the world wars and rural life in Berwickshire, past and present. 1.4 To provide educational facilities, exhibitions and activities relevant to contemporary rural life in the Scottish Borders
