Kemback Hall Charity Trustees Annual Report Year ended 31 March 2025 Governing Document The charity is administered in accordance with its Articles of Association. Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees Trustees are appointed at the Annual GeneraL Meetingfrom the communityfor their appropriate gifts and skills along with their commitment to the charity. Organisation Structure The trustees have an aim to meet quarterly during the financial year. Objectives and Activities The objectives of the charity are to Lease, manage, maintain and operated Kemback Hall as a communityfacility and to promote it's use by the Local community. The main objectives of the charity are as foLIows. To organise suitable social, educational and personal development activities for its members as deemed desirable bythe Management Committee. To provide recreational facilities and organise recreational activities within the operating area, which such facilities/activities being made availabLe to members of the pubLic at Large with the object of improvingtheir conditions of life and providing opportunity To advance education and heaLth in particuLar with relation to sports, acvtive recreation and physical activity Achievements and Performance The Annual GeneraL Meeting on 14th November 2023 was faced with the possibility of closure of the Hall. However at that meetingthere was enthusiasm for keeping the halLgoing. The Annual General Meeting on 17th March 2025 resulted in some new trustees being appointed who are equaLly enthusiastic about keeping the haLI open for use bythe community and others. The HalL duringthe period from 1°'April 2024 to 31" March 2025 has been used by a variety of groups including keep fit classes twice a week. Scottish Country Dance classes, Zumba classes. First Aid Classes and it was also used as an Election Station for the national eLection. The HalL is supported by a smaLI but hard working group who have organised a programme of events starting January 2025 ranging from a Quiz Night, BeetLe Drive, Whist Drives. Murder Mystery evening and a Musical Evening allvery successful. Rental of the halL has increased whilst donations from individuals has falLen.

The principal sources of income in 2024 -2025 have been donations £589, hall rentals £2,094 and Event fund raising £1,192. Voluntary donations have fallen from 2024 but hall rentals and Event fund raising have increased. The costs for 2024-2025 were £3,208. The main expenditure was £1.542 was on utilities and £1.037 on small repairs , tests and insurance. We are reliant on seeking grant funding to carry out any major repairs to the hall. A surplus of £897 was generated in 2024-2025 as a consequence of maintaining the expenditure at the lowest level possible and working hard to increase the income levels, The trustees are anxious about the future of the haLlwith the costs of oil. heating and the general increase of costs impacting on a charity already running on a tight budget. Re8orve8 Policy The trustees alm to keep one year running costs as a reserve and they have achieved that in the current financial year but the worry is the future going forward. Statament of Trust8•s' Responsibllltlos The trustees must prepare financial statements which give sufficient detail to enable an appreciation ot the transactions of the Charity during the financial year. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which, on request, rnust reflect the financial position of the Charityatthattime. This must be done to ensure thatthe financial statements comply with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, the Charities Accounts (Scotland) ReguLations 2006. I report on the accounts of the Gharityfor the year ending 310t March 2025 whlch are set out on Pages 6 and 7. Respective responsibilities of thetrustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the 8ccount8 in accordance with the term8 of the Charities Trustee Investment (Scotland} Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts {ScoiianiJl regulatlons 2006 (as amendet). The charity trustees consider thai that the audit requirements of Regulation 10 (1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations do not apply. It is my responsibilityto exarnine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have corne to my atteniion. Basis of Independent Examiners Statement My examination 18 carried out in accordance with Regulations 11 of the Charities AGGounts (SGOtldnd) Regulation 2006 (as amen(Jed). An examination Inciucjes a review of the accounting records kept bythe charity and a comparison of the accounts present with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide alLthe evidence thatwould be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit oplnlon on the accounts. Independent Examinerfs Staternent In the course of my examination of the statement of account for the year ended 318t Merch 2025, no matter has come to my attention- 1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirement: To keep accounting records in accordance with the Sectlon 44 (1) (a) of the 20Q5 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and To prepare account8 which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation g of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or 2. To which in myopinion, attention should be drawn in orderto enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
