Baby Loss Retreat is a Scottish charity providing emotional support to people who have experienced the loss of a baby. This can be through miscarriage, neonatal death, stillbirth, IVF or medical termination. We offer 2 services to families affected by baby loss, counselling and respite. Our counselling service is delivered by professional specialist counsellors and is designed to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of people dealing with grief and trauma following the loss of a baby. Parents receive an initial assessment session to discuss the process, their mental health, their baby and their needs and goals. This is followed by 6 counselling sessions. Counselling sessions focus on providing parents with a safe and non-judgemental environment to explore their grief. The second service we offer is respite. Families spend 2 days at a retreat to process their grief. Allowing them the time to remember their baby and space away from their busy lives to process their emotions.
