Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'the prevention or relief of poverty','the advancement of citizenship or community development','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'
The aim of the Golden Friendships Charity is Social Inclusion – many service users experience exclusion in their lives due to disabilities, ASN, lack of confidence, or loneliness. We promote opportunities for them to feel valued. By fostering an inclusive environment, the charity helps service users develop meaningful relationships, build confidence, and participate more fully in their community. This contributes to improved wellbeing and a greater sense of belonging. We provide opportunities for service users to meet others, build friendships, and develop meaningful relationships within their community. These opportunities support individuals to make positive choices about their lives and to recognise their value as active members of society. This support means service users have had significant personal development, progressing from extreme shyness and social withdrawal to increased confidence and active participation in group activities.
