The aim of the charity is to provide recreational facilities with the objective of improving the conditions of life for those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or social exclusion. Golden Friendships exists to help prevent and alleviate social exclusion and improve the life of its members. Many of Golden Friendships service users have suffered from social exclusion during much of their life due to disabilities, special needs, lack of confidence or loneliness. With inclusion brings happiness and joy, helping service users feel part of a community and builds service users' confidence. Golden Friendships provides opportunities to meet friends and build relationships. This, in turn, allows service users to improve their lives and to embrace being a valued member of the community
