The charity is set up to operate the Fairburn Memorial Hall, for the benefit of groups and individuals in the Marybank, Arcan, Fairburn and Orrinside areas. This includes maintaining and operating the hall, holding social events, fundraising events and ensuring that the hall is available for rental by groups and individuals. The hall is available for rental for persons outwith the direct area, including businesses.

Objectives: 4.1 To maintain the hall in commemoration of those who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars 4.2 The provision of recreational facilities in order to promote the well-being of local residents, without discrimination on political, religious or other grounds, by working with local groups and organisations, and statutory authorities, for the advancement of health, education and recreation, and the improvement of quality of life, especially for the old, the young and others with special needs.
