The Jimmy Johnstone Charitable Trust is established to advance health and wellbeing, promote public participation in sport, and provide recreational facilities and activities that improve quality of life. The charity also seeks to promote equality and inclusion and to remove barriers to participation in sport for children and the wider community. The Trust delivers these purposes by providing, managing and improving community football and recreational facilities, with a particular focus on grassroots football. It supports children and young people of all backgrounds to participate in sport, encourages active and healthy lifestyles, and works to ensure facilities are safe, inclusive and accessible.

Objectives: 4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 to improve the health of children by encouraging participation in sport 4.2 to provide recreational and coaching facilities for football and other sports to children of all backgrounds 4.3 to educate children on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle 4.4 the promotion of equality and diversity within the children including the elimination of discrimination
