We operate in accordance with the Governing Documents of the Constitution of Scout Scotland and the Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) of the Scout Association. The purpose of the Scouting Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities. Our aim is to achieve this by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, guided by adult leadership. All sections actively pursue the fundamentals of Scouting through age appropriate activities. This brings young people together from different schools/areas and they work together in mixed teams to learn new social, practical and creative skills.
Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people'
Objectives: Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
