It has a constitution entitled 'Constitulion of The Clackmannanshire Field Studies Society (SCIO).. The membership elects a Management Committee. The charity is not connected lo any other body. Trustee recruitment and appointment At the Annual General Meeting, the membership elects honorary officers a Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Secretary and such others as the Society shall decide. The Committee, meets several times a year and consists of not less than 7 and not more than 11 members. Ordinary members of the Committee are also elected at the Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting wa8 held on 6, May 2024 and was 8tt&nded by 22 members. The Society arranged summer outings. . The first was a visit lo Bannodtbum House on 7 July. Thirteen members and non members attended and i( wa5 a very enjoyable visit. The second was a walk to the Black Devon Wetlands and Alloa Pond Wood. Eight members attended and the walk also went very well. The Society also participated in the t)oors Open Days event on 28, September. Seven members cleaned and prepared the Mar & Kellie Mausoleum in Alloa Old Kirkyard, held practirA sessions and welcomed 75 vi$ilors on the day itself. APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period A total of 489 people (plus 75 visitors to the DOD event) attended the lecture programme, AGM and summer events. All lectures and events were advertised in the local press, on the CFSS website and also via the membershipllecture programme card. Annual subscriptions were collected when members attended lectures. Attendance feesldonations were collected from non-members when they attended lectures. Several members of Tullibody History Group, which is no longer arranging lectures of its own, joined the Society in the autumn and attended the lecture programme. This increased attendance considerably and strengthened the Society's membership. Four meetings of the Committee were held, all via Zoom, to plan the programme and to attend to all other matters, including discussing local planning applications. The publication Gartmorn Dam and its Lade Systen7s 1690-1900 continued to sell very well and it is now out of print. A decision was made to publish a second edition, which will include an appreciation of Murray Dickie. Publication details will be agreed and finalised in due course. Financial review Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The charity held a total balanIreServe of £6,302.11 at 31.03.2025.
