Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

Men’s sheds are community based organisations that provide a space for men to come together, work on projects, socialise and engage in meaningful activities and offer a multitude of benefits that extend beyond the individual to the broader community. They provide a supportive and inclusive environment where men can improve their mental and physical health, develop new skills, form meaningful connections and contribute positively to society. These factors collectively improve the wellbeing and enhance the quality of life for members and foster stronger, more connected communities. We are located at the Heart of Newhaven Community and run a lunchshed every other week for members to meet and chat, often with talks from guest speakers. wood and metal workshops five times a week for personal projects and commissions for custom items. a Repair Shed to fix anything brought in by the public, and cycling and music groups.

Objectives: 4 The purpose of the organisation is to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in Leith, Edinburgh and surrounding areas
