Our association was set up more than 60years ago with the aim of providing facilities for the use of all pensioners in our village. We hold various social events for our members throughout the year. We have a weekly coffee morning, two outings and several concerts during the year (each concert is followed by a light lunch) and at Christmas we go out to a local restaurant for lunch. We also have fundraisers such as raffles and bring and buy sales. Our members can have the use of our hall for any occasion such as wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, funeral teas free of charge. Our hall is used by other groups eg Art Club, Spiritualist Church as well as for childrens parties and baby showers all for a small fee.
Beneficiaries: 'Older People'
Objectives: To promote and assist the general for all old people in the village of Laurieston by assisting the work of the statutory authorities and voluntary organisations engaged in providing facilities for mental and physical recreation, developing physical improvement, furthering health, relieving poverty, distress or sickness, or in pursuing any objects which are now are or hereafter may be deemed charitable.
