Trustees’ Annual Report
The Trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 30 September 2024.
Sadly we note that one of our trustees, Rita Winters, passed away this year (August).
During the year to 30 September 2024, Govan Docks Regeneraton Trust contnued actvites to fulfl our objectves as custodians of the Govan Docks. We have contnued to collaborate with a number of organisatons and partcipated in research and community engagement seminars.
We note that a planning applicaton was submited in December 2023 for residental development on part of the graving dock site. While collaboratve organisatons (namely CDPI and some local businesses and individuals whom we deal with) have submited objectons to the planning applicaton, we have opted to maintain a neutral stance at this tme and did not comment on the applicaton. A decision on the planning applicaton is expected to be made soon by Glasgow City Council.
Events and actvites we have partcipated in this year include:
We have contnued to monitor the situaton with proposed developments and planning applicatons for the Govan Graving Docks. We have contnued to partcipate in internatonal research and networking actvites relatng to waterfront heritage alongside Clyde Docks Preservaton Initatve (CDPI), Fablevision, and the University of the West of Scotland. We have contnued to develop links with other local groups that are interested in the future of the graving docks and while we have contnued to remain neutral on the proposed residental aspect of the proposed site developments, our outlook contnues to be more aligned with those who oppose housing on the Govan graving docks.

Financial Review
Reserves Policy
The charity aims to hold reserves equivalent to their ongoing fnancial obligatons which based on the year ended 30 September 2024, equated to £0. At September 2024 the charity held unrestricted reserves of £111.73, the trustees are therefore satsfed that this policy is being met.

There have not been any transactons for the year ended 30 September 2024

Independent Examiner’s Report
I have reviewed the fnancial statements of the Govan Docks Regeneraton Trust (SCIO) registered charity SC046875 in relaton to pages 6 and 7 of this report to year end 30th September 2024.
Responsibilites and Basis of Report
The Charity’s Trustees are responsible for the preparaton of the Accounts in accordance with the terms of the “Charites and Trustee Investment (Scotland) 2005 Act” and the “Charites Accounts (Scotland) Regulatons 2006 (as amended).
The Charity Trustees consider that they are exempt from the audit requirement in accordance with Regulaton 10(1)(d) of The Charites Accounts (Scotland) Regulatons 2006
My examinaton is carried out in accordance with Regulaton 11 of the Accounts Regulatons 2006.
An examinaton includes a review of the accountng records and a comparison with fnancial material provided by the Charity to identfy any anomalies, unusual items or disclosure in the accounts. If any are identfed, then an explanaton from the Trustees would be sought.
To clarify; this is an Independent Review in accordance with Regulaton 11 of the fnancial material provided by the Charity and does not include an investgaton of the full evidence required for an Audit.
I can confrm in my review that there are no maters of concern that have come to my atenton in respect of the fnancial material I have witnessed in respect of preparaton and keeping of accounts in accordance with the S44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulatons 4 and 9 of the Accounts Regulaton 2006
In my opinion based on the access I have:

I have reviewed the Bank Account held at Virgin Money and can confrm there have been no transactons for the period from 1[st] October 2023 to 30[th] September 2024
