Our charity is set up to ensure the long-term stewardship of the historic A-listed Govan graving docks in Glasgow, in line with our charity's purpose, and promotion of maritime heritage. We aim to educate the public about the history and heritage of the dry dock site and promote it both domestically and internationally as an economic asset, industrial sitr and visitor attraction.

Objectives: 4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 To advance the arts, heritage, culture or science by/through: 4.1.1.1 Acquiring and preserving the historic Govan Graving Docks site. 4.1.1.2 Facilitating public access to Govan Graving Docks. 4.2 To advance education by through: 4.2.1.1 Funding and organising public exhibitions relating to Govan Graving Docks. 4.2.1.2 Funding and organising public lectures, schools talks and educational programmes about Govan Graving Docks, its historical importance and its connection to shipbuilding. 4.2.1.3 Forming partnerships, in the longer term, with schools and colleges to facilitate the use of the Govan Graving Docks as a training center in the areas of engineering, marine skills and tourism.
