GARPCFR provide volunteers who can reach patients in the Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula and the surrounding area to preserve life and promote recovery, until an ambulance crew or a trained /authorised medical professional arrives and assumes control and liability for the patient. All volunteers/members operating in accordance with the Scottish Ambulance Service current/most recent, First Responder Handbook & Governance Framework (currently dated Oct 2014). 2) To support the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide the best possible emergency care to the community of Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula and the surrounding area or as directed/requested in times of emergency by the Scottish Ambulance Area Control Centre{ACC). 3) To provide and maintain public access defibrillators within Garelochhead and Rosneath Peninsula area.
