We raise awareness of the problems for patients receiving diagnosis and correct treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency working with NICE, Club12 (international B12 experts), The B12 Alliance (group of patient charities), media and health professionals. We attend B12 conferences to deliver presentations to educate health professionals on the consequences of misdiagnosis and lack of treatment. We provide education to both the general public and health professionals. We run an online support group to provide free advice and support to over 82,000 patient members. Our tasks in helping the public include one to one advice and support by writing letters to their health provider and supporting them via loudspeaker or in person during their consultations. We are involved in official B12 studies with Professors and scientists. We work with NHS to raise awareness and education.
