Trec Scotland encourages proper preparation of horses and riders to engage in outdoor horse riding events across Scotland. Our Trustees and volunteers run events from Shetland, Skye, Mull to the borders, and most counties inbetween. We aim to have a prepresentative organising events in most regions. We organise events including Training Days for Horse and rider combinations Weekend Camps and weekend competitions. We also encourage our volunteers to obtain qualifications and continued professional development.

Objectives: The organisations purposes are: The advancement of participation by horse riding population and the public in the sport of TREC. (TREC is a sport intended to test the skills of a horse and rider in planning and executing a long distance ride in unfamiliar country , and performing and executing equitation and obedience phases) The promotion of healthy recreation and fitness for horse and rider is important in horse riding and TREC The provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons and horses for whom the facilities and activities are primarily intended
