To ensure care-experienced and vulnerable young people get the same opportunities and life chances as their peers through school-based mentoring, building their confidence, skills, and aspirations for positive futures in education, training, or employment.

Objectives: 7.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further the following charitable purposes:- 7. 1.1 the prevention or relief of poverty. 7.1.2 the advancement of education. 7.1 .3 the advancement of citizenship or community development. and 7.1.4 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 7.2 The charitable purposes will be furthered by the Trust operating:- 7.2.1 a school based mentoring Programme focusing on schools in the most deprived areas of Scotland and/or elsewhere supporting young people most in need and providing one to one relationship focused and nurturing support to pupils. 7.2.2 providing funding and support for MGR Pathway co-ordinators (and such other employees as may be required) whose role it will be to further, generally manage and co-ordinate the above Initiative.
