'the advancement of education'

j8 Educational Partnership's charitable purpose is the advancement of education through research by school pupils into the barriers to education and learning within specific communities globally. additionally to research solutions and to then take appropriate action to reduce these barriers. j8 links schools in the UK with schools in developing countries in order to increase the opportunities for effective quality education in all the communities, including the UK. By doing so, all those involved develop a greater understanding of the different communities and of the issues that impact on schooling. In this way j8 is a vehicle for global citizenship education, an increasingly relevant area that falls between the cracks within the formal UK education system. We try to develop an understanding of and a commitment to social justice & equity, foster critical thinking and informed action, and a belief that people can bring about transformational change.

Objectives: To advance education through research by school pupils into the barriers to education within specific communities in the developing world, additionally to research solutions and to then take appropriate action to reduce these barriers.
