Structure, Governance and Managémant City of DiscOry Pipe Band was formed in Nornber 2014, is 8 charity registered in Scotland and is governed by its constitution. The Irusie6s ar8 responsible for the admlnlstratlon and direction of the charity. Committ•• The Committee conslsts of a Chairperson. Treasurer, Secretary, Pipa Major, Le8dlng Drummer. Pipe Sergeant and Playér's representative 811 wth voting rights. Fouowingthe formation of a Grade 4 Pipe Band in 2022. the Committee now also comprises the Pipe Major Grade 4 and the Leading Drummer Grade 4 au with voling rights. The following8re also part of the Commlttee but have no voting rights - Quartermasler, Fundraiser, Boys. Brigade Representativg and HonoTrry President. We providetuition and mentoringto our membershipwith the aim of bgingthe best musi¢ians we can b8. both in competitive and non-competitivg fields. Achlovemont8 and Perfom)ancè Both bands enjoyed a good 8e880n. The bands competed at 4 major championships and at 2 rninor championships at Banchory and at Lochore. They wer8 In the prizes at Banchory. Lochore. Forres and Perth vthich gave a big boost to the funds. The b8nds continue to be competrtive and strive to be thè best that they can be. Our Burns Supperwas notso successfulthisyearbutwe did havea good Race Nightand our Last Man Standing fundraisèr has been very well supported by e2nded tsmlly and Irlends. Family and friends have also b88n supportive in coming along to competltions and donatlngto our bus costswhlch has b88n a help tothe band. A Dlnner Oance has been arranged al the Apex Hotel on 1# February 2025 to C818brate the City of Dlscover Band being in existence for Ioyears andwe hop8 this willbe well supported bycurrentand past members.
