Bump, Baby & Beyond (Dumfries and Galloway) is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity No. SC045122) supporting local parents and parents-to-be. Our mission is to develop and offer community based support and services to families, which: Create a supportive community for all parents, which enables the development of supportive peer relationships and friendships, helps tackle social isolation. Foster positive relationships between parent and child. Support the mental and physical well-being of parents. Support parents to give their children the best start in life. Offer the opportunity to engage in new experiences. Offer access to advice and expertise. Direct families to other pathways of support. Work in partnership with other community and statutory services. Are inclusive and open to all. The group was originally created in 2010 as a network of parents who joined together to help raise the profile of breastfeeding support in Dumfries and has now grown.

Objectives: 4.1 to advance education through provision of support, advice and information to parents and parents-to-be to give their children a healthy start in life. 4.2 to raise awareness of the benefits of breast feeding and the needs of parents and parents-to-be through working in partnership with a wide range of organisations. 4.3 to advance community development through building a volunteer led peer support network for families.
