Plockton Playpark Chairpersons report, 2025
1/ Maintenance and Inspection
The usual maintenance and inspection routine by committee members and local parenis on an ad-hoc basis continues successfully. The bark rake is still in place, with the lock code PE This arrangement works fine; use of the piaypark is regular enough to maintain a good surface cover and safe equipment. The torx screws on the rope ladder seem to occasionally come loose and require most regular inspection and occasional tightening. | noted in August that one is missing and am looking into getting a replacement. Some new parents, iii! have been instructed on maintenance procedure and say they'll get involved with this inspection routine. | mean to chase up Ji ME wien | get the chance. IE aicrted me to a loose fitting on the gate movement damper on 10 August but when | visited on 24 August,rr had bodged a repair which seems to be working. aa wil let me knowif it fails again and | can put on the spare damper, which | have. 2/ Finances The Audited Financial Report has been provided by end dated 7 May 2025. Balance was £5210.74, a +-£700 increase over the year. This increase has largely been achieved from the donation box at Coral Beach (£448 taken), so thanks are due tom ae 50: managing this in its first year of operation.
3/ Coral Beach Donation Box There was talk last year of adding a QR code at the Coral Beach donation box. An option to pay online should make more income possible. The QR code can also be listed at the Play Park. This has not been actioned; hopefully possible this year with coordination between ee 4/ Playpark Committee Whaisapp group? There has been some difficulty coordinating the AGM (thanks, MM). Would it be easier if we created a specific Whatsapp group for the committee?
