Transition Stirling makes sustainable living easy for people and communities.  We create positive environmental change while uplifting communities. We promote sustainable practices that protect the planet, reduce waste, and improve quality of life, bringing people together to create a better future.  To enable our community to reuse more, we keep things simple. Adopt mindful shopping habits, borrow instead of buy, transform old items into new ,donate so others can benefit . The charity advances environmental protection and community development by:  Reducing waste to landfill through reuse and repair , improving access to affordable household items ,supporting volunteering, skills development, and employability, strengthening local partnerships that promote social inclusion .

Objectives: The organisations purposes are: to advance citizenship or community development (including rural or urban regeneration and the promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector or the effectiveness or efficiency of charities). to advance environmental protection or improvement by/through raising awareness of the implications of Climate Change and Peak Oil and encourage contributions from all sections of the community to plan and take action for a locally resilient, sustainable future. exploring and following pathways of practical actions that will reduce our harmful greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels and build local economy building Stirling?s resilience, that is, its ability to withstand ?shocks? from the outside, through being more self reliant in areas such as food, energy, health care, jobs and economics. working in partnership with other organisations, particularly local community groups and other voluntary organisations to meet our purposes as outlined above.
