To provide training and practical experience for singers who desire to learn and take part in choral works and learn appreciation of music. To rehearse and perform choral music in public and so to advance the public’s knowledge and appreciation of choral music. To help by means of concerts, grants and otherwise other charities chosen by a vote of choir members.

Objectives: Purposes 4. The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To provide training and practical experience for singers who desire to learn and take part in choral works and learn appreciation of music. 4.2 To rehearse and perform choral music in public and so to advance the public's knowledge and appreciation of choral music. 4.3 The advancement of citizenship or community development (including rural or urban regeneration and the promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector or the effectiveness or efficiency of charities) . 4.4 To help by means of concerts , grants and otherwise such charities and organisations (with charitable status and charitable objects within paragraph 4.3) as shall be chosen by a simple majority of those voting at the Annual General Meeting for each year.
