Constltution The Charity operates in terms of the Constitution of the Scout Association, which was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1912, Appointment of Trustees Trustees are recruited, appointed and trained in accordance with the Policy, Organisation & Rules (POR) of the Scout Association. None of the Trustees reIVed any remuneration for their services during the year. Organi8aUonal Structure Kyle & Carrick District Scout Council is the body to which the District Trustee Board is accountable. The Council normally meets once a year. The District Trustee Board is responsible for the day-to-day management of the District's affairs and normally meets four or five times a year, Objectlves and Actlvltles Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Kyle & Carrick District Scout Council is responsible for supporting Scouting within the District, The District Trustee Board exists to support the District Lead Volunteer in meeting the responsibilities of the appointment - to provide support for Scout Groups, Explorer Scout Units, District Scout Network and Scout Active Support within the District. In furtherance of these objectives we continue to try to organise competitions and events to bring Groups and Units together and to widen the learning experience of our young people. We presently have 14 Groups and 5 Explorer Units in our District. A shortage of adults has also weakened both the District Trustee Board and the District Team, and this is referred to in more detail in the District Lead Volunteer's report. Flnan¢ial Review The Financial results and notes and Independent Examiner's Report and show that at the year-end there was a surplus of £505.91 (2024 - surplus £150). The Trustee Board has filled some vacancies in the District Team covering Explorers, Scouts, and Beavers. Scout Active Support (SAS) is now closely involved in organising and developing new events and a new District Programme. Approved by the Trustees on 21st May 2025 and signed on their behalf by".-

Kyle and Carrick Dlstrict Scout Council Independent Examiner's Report Year ended 31 March 2025 Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of the Kyle and Carrick District Scout Council I report on the finaTJcial State,entS of the Ki/le and Carrrck District Scout Council ( 'The Council" ) for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on page 1 Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The Council's Trustees are responsible for the preparation ofthe accounts in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 { tthe Act" ) and the charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (°the Regulationsl.The Council's Trustees consider that the audtt requirement of Regulation 10 (1) (d) does not apply. It is my responsibilty to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement My examination is carried out in accordance with the Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Council and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the Trustees GoncernirvJ any such matters. The procedures undertak8n do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
