Organi8aUonal Structure

accountable. The Council normally meets once a year.
The District Trustee Board is responsible for the day-to-day management of the District's
affairs and normally meets four or five times a year,
Objectlves and Actlvltles
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development,
empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
Kyle & Carrick District Scout Council is responsible for supporting Scouting within the District,
The District Trustee Board exists to support the District Lead Volunteer in meeting the
responsibilities of the appointment - to provide support for Scout Groups, Explorer Scout
Units, District Scout Network and Scout Active Support within the District.
In furtherance of these objectives we continue to try to organise competitions and events to
bring Groups and Units together and to widen the learning experience of our young people.
We presently have 14 Groups and 5 Explorer Units in our District.
A shortage of adults has also weakened both the District Trustee Board and the District Team,
and this is referred to in more detail in the District Lead Volunteer's report.
Flnan¢ial Review
The Financial results and notes and Independent Examiner's Report and show that at the
year-end there was a surplus of £505.91 (2024 - surplus £150).
The Trustee Board has filled some vacancies in the District Team covering Explorers, Scouts,
and Beavers. Scout Active Support (SAS) is now closely involved in organising and
developing new events and a new District Programme.
