Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects The club has mel regularly up to 2- 3 times a week with an average of 15 young people al each meeting. Numbers peak lo 25- 40 during winter months. Our traditional 5 main activities included.. 11 Digital Manufacture and CAD skills programme 2) Youth Enterprise Project "Purple Castle Products. 3) Girls into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Primary School Project 4) Traditional Craft Wood 5) Traditional Craft Metal and Welding Technologies 6) Participation in the Greenpower challenge primary and secondary schools We continued to expand our range of activities to include a new delivery site al Stralhmore Rugby Club's community Hub in Forfar with activities linked to STEM careers and digital achievement? Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period Achievements and Performance Over the past year, AYE has built on the foundations laid in previous years to expand and deepen our community offer. Key achievements in 2024-25 included: Expansion of our Greenpower electric vehicle programme with both Goblin and F24 class cars in partnership with local schools. Further development of the 'Sin Bin, outdoor hospitality trailer and barista training for senior pupils. Delivery of digital manufacture, woodworking, and net zero workshops erigaginu a wide cohort of pupils, particularly those at vjs1101 di.sengagement. Training and enterprise opportunities for young people through Pui"ple CastlL Pi oducts and pop-up social enterprise st-Ills. Continued support of rura! access to events and competitions via our"Boaby Bus" community minibus Plans for the Future AYE will continue to work closely with school clusters, funders, and community partners to embed our offer within wider achievement frameworks and youth employment pipelines. Our priorities for 2025- 26 include: Strengthening partnerships with rural primaries through Greenpower and barista outreach. Developing a permanent technical skills hub in partnership with Strathmore Rugby Club and the Inchmacoble Development Trust. Expanding our digital fabrication capacity and launching a creative industries micro-credential in photography and videography. Strengthening our impact reporting and social enterprise sustainabillty.
Our Trust Now has 5 paid part time employces with payroll and HMRC calculations prcpared by Voluntary Action Angus Kirsten is in the process of going self employed and will possibly be contracled to deliver catering eductation in 2026 Financial review APPENDIX 1 Other optional information Financial Review During the financial year ending 31st March 2025, Angus Young Engineers (AYE) received a total income of £78,752. This included continuing support from The National Lottery (£20,000 + £23375 Sin Bin Project), the Gannochy Trust (£11,000). and a new grant from the Children's Postcode Lottery (£15,000). Additional support was secured from Angus Council (£9,000) and a number of smaller grants and fundraising activitles to sustain projects and pilot new ones Expenditure for the same period totalled £76,804, with key areas of spend including.. Project delivery costs for ongoing programmes such as the Sin Bin Hospitality Unit. Barista Training, Traditional Skills, and the Net Zero Workshop; Staffing and administration, including wages and H M RC contributions; Premises and operational costs, competition entry fees, including various insurances and rent of facilities at Strathmore Rugby Club. This resulted in a modest surplus of£l,948 for the year. The charity began the year with an opening bank balance of £33.347 and closed the year with £51,180 in total funds at 3 1st March 2025. This improvement in financial position reflects careful budgeting and increased sustainability across core projects, as well as the continued generosity of our supporters and funders
