BACP have wamed of the challenges ahe&J in relat￿n to grant applicatton success rates for small mental health charities so other fundraising activ￿"eS have been carried out. We are seeing the impacl of the cost of Iwing increase. emphasising the necessity to seek fvnding for provision of our subsidised counselling servKe. F￿￿S on funding remains so we can con'nue to counsel vulnerable people in hardship. whilst also maintaining training. supervision. and remuneration of stsff. Income from client fees was £24,830, which is unrestn'cted funds and represents 53% of income. In 2024 we made 15 funding applications and funds were recewj from 4 onjanisations. We have an unrestricted reserves policy of maintaining at least £8.000 and a Minimum allowable operating balance of £15.o¢XJ. Thts is enough to cover 4 n￿nths with no income. The approved budget for 2025 is £95,000 wlth 4fA coming grants. so fijnding applications are critical lo the organisatr'on. and D•velo Hope continues to support lesming and devek)pn￿nt of staff by paying for extemal qualified supervision for all counsellors monthly, combined wrth in-house peer supeNision. In this way counsellors leam from each other but have the balance of exlemal influences on their practice. It also ensures compliance wrth the BACP ¢ode of pracb"ce. Our CPD sessions o)nb'nue and comprise of external trainer delivery (both online and fa* to kn), peer teaching and ¢a$e reviews. We also financial￿ subsidise extemal training in sperjfic areas to meet counsellor and client fteeds.
