Hope h8$ a sound financial position. with an operats.ng balance of £42,496, a reduth.on of £5,072 over
the accounbng year. The fundraising team was successfvl in securing £11,500 in grants125% of
income). We received £7,939 (17% of in￿me) in donats'ons which a small Propo￿on of the fvnding
quirements of the organisation and fundraising aclivtties generated £2,38615% of ineomel. BACP
have wamed of the challenges ahe&J in relat￿n to grant applicatton success rates for small mental
health charities so other fundraising activ￿"eS have been carried out. We are seeing the impacl of the
cost of Iwing increase. emphasising the necessity to seek fvnding for provision of our subsidised
counselling servKe.
F￿￿S on funding remains so we can con*'nue to counsel vulnerable people in hardship. whilst also
maintaining training. supervision. and remuneration of stsff. Income from client fees was £24,830,
which is unrestn'cted funds and represents 53% of income. In 2024 we made 15 funding applications
and funds were recewj from 4 onjanisations.
We have an unrestricted reserves policy of maintaining at least £8.000 and a Minimum allowable
operating balance of £15.o¢XJ. Thts is enough to cover 4 n￿nths with no income. The approved
budget for 2025 is £95,000 wlth 4fA coming grants. so fijnding applications are critical lo the
organisatr'on.

ensures compliance wrth the BACP ¢ode of pracb"ce. Our CPD sessions o)nb'nue and comprise of
external trainer delivery (both online and fa* to kn), peer teaching and ¢a$e reviews. We also
financial￿ subsidise extemal training in sperjfic areas to meet counsellor and client fteeds.
