Registered Charity Number: SC041792 1st Neilston Scout Group Report of the Trustees For the Year Ended 31 March 2025 The Executive Committee has pleasure, in presenting the financial statements and the independent examiners report forthe year ended 31st March 2025. Name & Address The group name is the 1st Neilston Scout group and it can be contacted at Constitution & Purpose The Scout Group is constituted under the term of the Rules of The Scout Associated, which is a charitable body unincorporated by Royal Charter. The Group is an unincorporated Scottish Charity - No. SC041792. The purpose of The Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The methods of achieving the aims of the Scout Association is by providing and enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Scout promise and law and guided by adult leadership. Members of the Executive Committee Trustees are recruited and appointed in accordance with the Police, Organisation and Rules (POR) of the Scout Association.
Registered Charity Number: SC041792 1st Neilston Scout Group Report of the Trustees For the Year Ended 31 March 2025 Activities & Achievements The groups held several camps this year and special activities such as party nights. The kout group took an active part in the annual Remembrance Day parade. The ethos for the future is to encourage more outdoor activities. There are approx 100 member5 and there is a waiting list for places. The Scout Leaders continue to attempt to recruit a f ew more vo lunteers and committee members/trustees, but this is an ongoing proce55 to encourage pa renta I participation. The hall continues to be used S days a week by the disability group Include Me 2, The Beavers and Cubs use the hall on a Thursday evening and the Scout group use the hall on a Friday evenin& due to demand the Scout Leader has now to set up an Explorer Scout group on a Mnday evening. In the coming year the Scout Leaders are continuing to plan for large weekend activity camps. As noted in the previous year. there are also plans to look looks at new flooring for the main hall which is subject to high levels of wear and tear throughout the year.
