For the Year Ended 31 March 2025
The Executive Committee has pleasure, in presenting the financial statements and the independent
examiners report forthe year ended 31st March 2025.
Name & Address
The group name is the 1st Neilston Scout group and it can be contacted at
Constitution & Purpose
The Scout Group is constituted under the term of the Rules of The Scout Associated, which is a
charitable body unincorporated by Royal Charter. The Group is an unincorporated Scottish Charity -
No. SC041792.
The purpose of The Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving
their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens
and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The methods of achieving the aims of the Scout Association is by providing and enjoyable and
attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Scout promise and law and guided by adult
leadership.
Members of the Executive Committee
Trustees are recruited and appointed in accordance with the Police, Organisation and Rules (POR) of
the Scout Association.

Activities & Achievements
The groups held several camps this year and special activities such as party nights. The kout group
took an active part in the annual Remembrance Day parade. The ethos for the future is to encourage
more outdoor activities.
There are approx 100 member5 and there is a waiting list for places. The Scout Leaders continue to
attempt to recruit a f ew more vo lunteers and committee members/trustees, but this is an ongoing
proce55 to encourage pa renta I participation.
The hall continues to be used S days a week by the disability group Include Me 2, The Beavers and
Cubs use the hall on a Thursday evening and the Scout group use the hall on a Friday evenin& due to
demand the Scout Leader has now to set up an Explorer Scout group on a Mnday evening.
In the coming year the Scout Leaders are continuing to plan for large weekend activity camps. As
noted in the previous year. there are also plans to look looks at new flooring for the main hall which
is subject to high levels of wear and tear throughout the year.
Reserves Policy
Due to the recommencement of the Lets the finances are now in a much healthier state and we now

Report of the Independent Examiner to the Trustees and Members of 1st
Neilston Scout Group
I ha￿ e>amined the financial state￿￿nts of 1s1 Neilston Scout (>oup for the year ended 31 March
2025 on pages FI￿ to Nine.
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
ter￿6 of the Charities and Trustee In￿SIn￿nt (Scotland) 2005 Act and Ihe Charib'es Accounts
(Scouand) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider Ihat the audit requirerrEnt of Regulation
10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulab'ons does not apply. It is nry responsibility to eyamine the accounts
as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state thether particular matters ha￿ coff£ to rry
attents'on.
1st NÈitston Scout Group is a registered Scottish Charity; ry eyatrination is carried out in accordance
wth Regulats'on 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulab'ons 2006. An ey2minab.on includes a
review of the accounb.ng records kept by the organisab'on and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disck)sures in the
accounts and seeks e>pLanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not promde all the emdence that ￿Uld be required in an audit and, consequenty. I do
not express an audit opini¢￿ on the accounts.
