The Parent Council was set up, and continues to act, as a link between the Senior Management Team of the School and a group of parents representing those whose children attend Newmains Primary and live in the local community. Over the years many activities have been organised by the Parent Council obtaining funding from external grants, companies and of course support with fundraising from the parents, children, staff and local community.

Objectives: ? to work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents ? to promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents ? to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils ? to identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils.
