Objectives: The advancement of education, the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture by promoting and facilitating the annual re-enactment of the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches and all its associated traditions, and commemorating the return in the year 1513 of the Captain of the City Band, Randolph Murray, clasping the Ancient Blue Blanket with the tragic news of the defeat of the Scottish Army at the Battle of Flodden.
