| report on the accounts of the charity Arran Junior Sailing Club (SC040566) for the year ended 30th September 2025 which are set out on attached page. My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 & have not been met.

Trustees report

Arran Junior Sailing Club was started over 40 years ago to give School children on the Isle of Arran the opportunity to learn to sail and gain confidence in the sea. All School aged children from Primary 7 to senior 6th year are welcome to join the club. The club runs on Tuesday evenings from Easter to Summer Holidays and from Summer Holidays to the October break.

The club uses the premises of Arran Yacht Club for teaching, changing facilities and equipment storage. They also carry all the required insurances, all this free of charge to the Junior section.

The Club owns 2 rescued boats and a fleet of sailing dinghies including Pico's. Feva's and Bahia's. It also has the use of the AYC rib as an additional rescue boatIn the last year the club has fundraised and purchased a new rescue boat. The club also runs power boat courses for older pupils and adults.

The Club is currently fundraising to try to replace some of the older Pico dinghies. In the past year some of our students attended an Ocean Youth Trust trip and some gained RYA certificates.

Some students have made a career out of Sailing, eg Neil Hunter now part of the Americas Cup squad and Sail GP.
