Dunoon Community Radio was granted a full time Ofcom FM broadcasting licence to broadcast 24-07across the Cowal area in 2009 programmes and entertainment within the Ofcom guidelines that will enhance the lives of listeners. Dunoon Community Radio is managed and run completely by volunteers none of whom receive any financial or in kind reward for what they contribute. Our aim is to encourage and advance active citizenship in all sections of the Community through the making and presenting of radio programmes. • To advance community cohesion and development across all aspects of local activity. To advance the inclusion of minority groups in community activity and to include such groups in becoming better recognised in the rural area. • To encourage and promote active volunteering across all generations of the population. • To raise awareness of, and encourage participation in, the production of Programmes about local and national heritage and to advance culture. • To ad
